Russia's delegation to JCC has a new chairman
The Russian delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) has a new chairman – Sergey Gorlov was introduced today to the other delegates at a JCC's meeting, Info-Prim Neo's field correspondent reports.
Gorlov replaces Victor Shanin, who served a four-year term in this position. The freshly installed chairman declared that the JCC is the only joint cooperation mechanism between the Russian Federation, Moldova and Transnistria.
At today's meeting, the parties broached again the tense situation caused by the closeness of the outposts established by Moldova and Transnistria in the so-called Security Zone, but, again, no decision was reached.
The taskforce assigned to examine the issue will meet for debates on December 25.
