Russian importers and dealers of wines intend to picket White House in Moscow

Russian importers and dealers of Moldova and Georgian wines warn the Russian leadership that they intend to picket the White House in Moscow, if it fails to order the resumption of wine imports by April 15. Approximately 50 representatives of the largest wine importers and dealers on the Russian market made this decision at a sitting of the union of participants in spirits market in Russia (СУАР) this week. According to a public communication of СУАР, the participants signed a call to Russian President Vladimir Putin, seeking his help for a resolution. Also, they decided to sue the chief veterinary doctor of Russia, Genady Onishchenko, by April 15, hoping that his statements regarding the quality of wines will be described as defamatory, while the restriction on wines be will annulled.
