Russia will continue providing Transnistria with humanitarian aid
Russia takes an active attitude in order to carry on the Transnistrian humanitarian aid supplies, declared on April 17t he special missions’ ambassador of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Valerii Nesteruskin, in an interview given to RIA-Novosti.
Russia works actively upon this issue and will not restrict to the actions from March. It sustain the intensive contacts and tries to find solutions for providing assistance. Transnistria has certain problems so Russia makes certain efforts to find the proper decision, said Nesteruskin.
According to him, the situation in Transnistria is still difficult. Transnistria signals that the difficulties caused by the new customs regime at the Moldo-Ukrainian border are maintained. Several enterprises reduced the volume of the production or sent their workers in a forced leave of absence, states Nesteruskin.
As well, Nesteruskin said in Transnistria has no auto-blockade and accused the Moldavian authorities of the fact they tax the Transnistrian economic units and don’t always return these revenues, in spite of the promises made earlier.
Starting with March 3, transit of goods at the Moldo-Ukrainian border will be made only with the Moldavian custom requisites. This decision generated a rough reaction of Tiraspol and Moscow. The joint actions of Chisinau and Kiev were supported by the international community.
