Russia Halts Banning Moldavian Wine Import
Russia ceased the interdictions on the wine imports from the Republic of Moldova, although details are still not known. “A decision was taken, details will be given further”, declared Gheorghe Cozub for Info-Prim Neo, the president of the Wine Exporters Union from Moldova.
The Agency Moldova-Wine abstains from giving any comments on the subject. The director of the agency, Valeriu Mironescu is on an official trip to Romania and during his absence the specialists from Moldova-Wine avoid to make any declarations.
Some experts state that Chisinau waits for an official confirmation and for some substantial documents that would stipulate the conditions for the wine deliveries on the Russian market.
Staring with March 27, the Russian Federation banned the imports from the Republic of Moldova justifying its decision claiming Moldovan wines contain noxious substances that are harmful for a person’s health. The local and foreign experts mentioned it’s a political action of the Kremlin, not a sanitary or an economic measure.
