Russia’s food safety watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of poultry from Moldova as from February 1, 2022, IPN reports, quoting TASS.
Rosselkhoznadzor invoked the worsening of the avian influenza situation in Moldova. The temporary ban applies to incubator eggs, live fowl, poultry and all types of finished poultry products, except for goods that are subject to processing that ensures the destruction of the avian influenza virus.
It was also banned the delivery to Russia of equipment used to keep, sacrifice and cut fowl and the transit of live fowl from Moldova via Russia.
