Twenty Romanian universities from 16 university centers have presented their educational offer in Chisinau on July 4 and 5.
The event is organized by the Federation of Young Romanians from Everywhere (FTRP), whose president, Liuba Eremia, told IPN that this is the seventh edition of this fair in Moldova.
“This year we have novel offers - the Faculty of Computer Science, the IT field being more sought after than in other years,” said Liuba Eremia. The Romanian universities provide 5723 places for the young people of Moldova - bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees. "3700 places are with scholarship," added Liuba Eremia.
Margareta Coteaţă, professor at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University in Iaşi, stated that the Institution came up with offers from 11 faculties and for two of them admission exams will be required - Architecture Faculty and Computer Science Faculty. "If you want to apply from Chisinau you should fill out the papers until July 27 at Gheorghe Asachi High School," Margareta Coteaţă said.
Sergiu Voloc, who is already a 3rd year student at the Faculty of Automation, Computers and Electronics in Craiova, said that the IT field is a perspective which is constantly developing, both in Romania and in Moldova. “Young people are very interested in our faculty and they are approaching us to ask for information,” Sergiu Voloc said.
Nicolina Nemerenco, wants to apply for the Maritime University of Constanta, as she would like to combine passion with her profession. “As a graduate of a faculty in the maritime field, there is a range of opportunities to get employed on land and sea as well,” said Nicolina Nemerenco.
The Romanian Universities Fair will be held in Balti on July 6th and on July 7th it will come to Cahul.
