Romanian Universities continue to be over requested by youngsters from Moldova
The Romanian “Curentul” newspaper, cited by Info-Prim Neo, wrote that over 1.600 youngsters from the Republic of Moldova have submitted their applications until Sunday, August 27, for the seats offered by the Romanian universities.
Overall, 1.111 citizens of the Republic of Moldova have submitted the applications in the Iasi center, 547 at the Galati center and 30 in Suceava. Most of the applicants, exactly 1.148, will take exams in order to fill the 475 seats offered for undergraduate studies.
The matriculation for graduate studies, according to the cited source, promise to be real tough, as for the 90 seats offered, 486 candidates have submitted applications for master’s degree and 54 for PhD.
The most requested universities were the “Lower Danube” University from Galati, Academy for Economic Studies and University from Bucharest, "Babesh-Bolyai" University from Cluj and "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University from Iasi.
The number of offered full or partial financial aid packages offered by the Ministry of Education and Research for students from the Republic of Moldova, for studies of all types, is of 1.250 (of which 1.000 for undergraduate studies).
