The eighth edition of the Romanian Film Days will be held in Chisinau during September 21-25. Important films made the past year by the new generation of filmmakers will be shown free in the period, namely three films dedicated to the great actor Dorel Vișan, two classical films by Malvina Urșianu, an adventure film for children and a number of short films for students, IPN reports.
The event will take place at Cineplex-Loteanu and Odeon Cinema where the public will watch successful Romanian films that were recently awarded at festivals in Cannes, Venice and San Sebastian and that are premiered in Moldova and also classical films. The spectators will be able to meet a series of invitees – filmmakers, scriptwriters, actors, image directors, producers and film critics from Romania.
The Romanian Film Days this year continue the traditional partnership with the National University of Theater and Film “I. L. Caragiale” of Bucharest by screening a series of short films about the history of the University, which were recently retorted as part of a project entitled “Active Archive”.
The films of the eighth edition of the Festival will be introduced by critic Ionuț Mareș, who will also moderate the discussions with invitees.
