At the 950 polling stations opened for the Romanian presidential election abroad, voting in the runoff has started. In the Republic of Moldova, electors on Friday can vote at 59 open polling stations between 12:00 noon and 09:00 p.m., IPN reports.
In the presidential election of Romania, Romanian citizens, including the Moldovans with Romanian citizenship, have to choose between independent candidate Călin Georgescu and the candidate of the Save Romania Union (USR) party Elena Lasconi.
The voting-eligible Romanian citizens who reside or are temporarily abroad can vote in the presidential election of Romania at any of the polling stations established outside the country, using IDs issued by the Romanian state, valid on the polling day.
