There was a light snowfall in parts of the country on Monday morning and the low temperatures during the night favored the formation of ice on some of the national roads. The authorities said the road workers were mobilized to patrol the streets and remove ice, IPN reports.

"The teams of the road maintenance enterprise SA "Drumuri" work in such sectors as Rezina, Șoldănești, Râșcani, Drochia, Ocnița, Florești, Fălești, Sângerei and other areas where interventions are necessary," said the State Road Administration.

Traffic participants are urged to drive with caution and adapt their speed to the conditions on roads.
