This year it will be avoided the practice of mending the roads, which was less effective, but expensive, the interim mayor of the municipality Chisinau, Vasile Ursu, said during the meeting regarding the development perspectives of public road next years. According to him, as result of multiple cycles of frost this winter, the road of the capital were damaged significantly, that’s why it is foreseen to increase the volume of works for repairing certain roads. Ursu mentioned that in order to repair the road network of municipality there were involved all responsible services. There were started the cleaning works of the roads of antiskid material, accumulated in winter. There are done as well the preparing works necessary for repairing the most damaged roads. Minister of Transport and Road Management, Miron Gagauz informed that there is planed to repair the roads Anenii-Noi – Causeni – Stefan-Voda, Orhei-Rezina, Ustia-Molovata, Mihailovca - Valea Perjei, as well as the repairing of the sequence Chisinau-Leuseni. During the meeting, prime minister Vasile Tarlev said that next years it would be focused on repairing of national roads, as well as construction of auto-magistrates. The head of the executive paid the attention on the need to ensure the transparency of works. In this sense, the prime minister ordered creation of a special working group, which would check permanently the expenses reports and the quality of repairing works and maintenance of the roads. These reports shall be presented weekly to prime minister. The prime minister also ordered to make deep analysis of the price structures to construction materials used in road repairing. Vasile Tarlev noted that the construction materials used for repairing of the public roads should be purchased directly from the producers, avoiding dealers. The prime minister required intensification of the measures of attracting foreign investments on behalf of international financial organisations and other donors. The delivery program of means of road fund for 2006 stipulates allocation of 170 million lei for maintaining and repairing the roads, representing with 13% more than last year.
