Starting September 1, Moldovans returning from countries labeled as “green” will be spared having to spend 14 days in self-isolation, as decided Friday by the Extraordinary Commission on Public Health.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the list of “green countries” will be drawn up by the Ministry of Health, which will update it on a weekly basis.
The 14-day quarantine requirement will remain in place for those returning from countries flagged as “red.” Listing a country as “green” or “red” will be done based on the number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population.
Prime Minister Chicu appeals to the sense of responsibility of those who will begin their journey back to Moldova in a “green” country, but will transit “red” ones in the process.
