A number of arteries in central Chisinau will be closed for traffic between May 12, 7am, and May 14, 6pm, in connection with visits that are to be paid by foreign officials to Chisinau. Street trading and trading in the underground passages on the sections that will be crossed by the delegations will be banned. The units of transport that will be abandoned or parked illegally will be towed away, IPN reports.
Deputy head of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Grigore Guzun told a news conference that a security zone will be created between the streets Pushkin, Banulescu-Bodoni, Shchusev and Stefan cel Mare si Sfant. The people’s access to the area will be limited, while traffic will do not have access to the security area. Access to the road going to the Chisinau International Airport and Dacia Blvd will be restricted during the travel of delegations.
Grigore Guzun called on the drivers not to park in the security zone because the units of transport will be towed away. He also called upon the population to obey the instructions of the police.
