Republic of Moldova is interested in settling good relationships with the Czech Republic, states Vasile Tarlev

Re public of Moldova is interested in settling tight cooperation relationships with the Czech Republic in order to use its experience in the field harmonizing the national legislation with that of European Union, preparing qualified specialist in the area of European Integration, initiating negotiations upon the EU association agreement, access to the EU assistance programs, inclusively institutionally, facilities regarding EU visa regime, declared Vasile Tarlev at the meeting with his Czech counterpart Jiri Paroubek. According to the Government’s press service, the two premier-ministers discussed about the necessity of implementing joint projects, especially regarding the infrastructure, fact that could be an impulse for the economic development of the Republic of Moldova. Another issue of the discussions constituted the Transnistrian problem. The Moldavian prime minister informed his counterpart from Praga about the actions undertaken by the leadership of Moldova, about changing the negotiation format, by including USA and EU as observers. Prime minister Vasile Tarlev officially visited the Czech Republic between April 20 and 21. At the end of 2005, the value of commercial exchanges between the two countries exceeded 33 million USD.
