Replacement made on National Integrity Commission
Anatol Donciu will replace Ion Casian, delegated by the Liberal Party, on the National Integrity Commission after the latter resigned citing personal reasons, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The candidature of Anatol Donciu, a former member of the Parliament Staff, was approved by the Parliament's Legal Commission at its meeting on Wednesday.
Replying to a question by Communist MP Anatoli Zagorodny, Anatol Donciu said he didn't represent and was not affiliated with any political party.
The National Integrity Commission is an autonomous public authority whose mission is to verify the wealth and any potential conflicts of interest of public officials, judges and prosecutors. The Commission includes Leonid Morari, proposed by the Democratic Party; Dumitru Prijmireanu, proposed by the Communist Party; Vera Lupu, proposed by the Liberal-Democratic Party; and Cristina Cojocaru, who represents civil society. Anatol Donciu is yet to be confirmed by Parliament.
