The Our Party’s candidate for President Renato Usatyi, in an event held to launch his election campaign, promised to the voters that he will fight corruption and will do his best to improve the quality of life in Moldova. “Say “no” to corrupt persons and “yes” to the bright future of the Republic of Moldova,” the politician stated in the launch, being quoted by IPN.
“The choice on the ballot will be between the past and the future, between what was until now and people who were near and between traitors and those who didn’t betray. I believe in the wisdom of my people. I will always serve the people, my people and no one else,” he stated.
The politician considers corruption is the main problem faced by Moldova. When he brings things on this segment in order, all the other sectors will return to normality, such as the pensions and salaries, education and healthcare. “Those who are now in power cannot fight corruption because they are corrupt themselves. I will break this chain of corruption,” promised Renato Usatyi. According to him, the victory in the presidential elections is the first step as causing of snap parliamentary elections is his main task.
Renato Usatyi noted Moldova must have correct relations with the neighboring countries Ukraine and Romania, with the East and the West. He also said that the Transnistrian conflict will be settled only by doing real reforms in Moldova, by rooting out corruption and raising pensions. The languages spoken in “Transnistria” should be “Moldovan”, Russian and Ukrainian.
The candidate for President said he is ready to commission a plan for modernizing the Republic of Moldova to the best specialists of the world as without such a plan, he cannot revitalize the economy, agriculture or the transport sector. For young specialists, he will propose a home loan project with zero interest mortgages. Free consultancy centers for designing business plans will be opened in each district.
If he is elected President, Renato Usatyi intends to liquidate the system of district administration and also the National Anticorruption Center and to create a new body that will fight corruption at the highest level.
The National Project he promotes has the slogan “Staff Reserve of Renato Usatyi”. The persons are invited to apply (on the website Renato Usatyi president – www.rup2020.md) so as to be able to display their abilities in an eventual important state post.
The campaign prior to the presidential elections of November 1 began on October 2. The race involves six candidates: Renato Usatîi of Our Party, Andrei Năstase of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, Tudor Deliu of the Liberal Democratic Party, independent candidate Igor Dodon, Violeta Ivanov of the Shor Party and Maia Sandu of the Party of Action and Solidarity. The Central Electing Commission is to decide on the registration of two more aspirants: Octavian Țîcu of the National Unity Party and Dorin Chirtoacă of the UNION Electoral Bloc.
