Renato Usatyi: Part of PAS that is led by Maia Sandu lost battle to Andrei Spînu

Before or after the local elections, the Recean Cabient will resign due to the current Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu, said the chairman of Our Party Renato Usatyi. According to him, Andrei Spînu blackmailed the leaders of the government into offering him the post in the Cabinet, threatening with the split of the parliamentary group of the Party of Action and Solidarity, IPN reports.

Renato Usatyi said the PAS is divided into two opposing camps that are controlled by President Maia Sandu and by the incumbent Minister of Infrastructure Andrei Spînu. Spînu intends to found an own political party and this will happen by taking people from the PAS.

“In the PAS, there is the team that supports President Maia Sandu. There are also the curly ones who look only at Andrei Spînu, who is a leader. There was a time when over 30 persons were taking sides with Spînu. Spînu, having the PLDM’s experience, took part in building a part of the party. These people support him because Spînu solves their problems, helps them with money, finds employment for their relatives. No matter how tough Dorin Recean pretends to be, Spînu broke him. He clearly told them that he will return to the post of minister and his childhood friend Adrian Efros should be named minister. If Spînu had asked two more ministries, these would have been offered to him. If Spînu is refused, the party will split,” Renato Usatyi stated in the program “Black Box” on TV8 channel.

The politician made it clear that Andrei Spînu became undesirable for a number of foreign diplomats, but the government tolerates his presence in the Cabinet so as to prevent the division of the party.

“The part of the PAS that is led by Maia Sandu lost the battle to Andrei Spînu. Before or after the local elections, the Recean Cabient will resign due to Spînu. I’m bothered because the citizens suffer because of the earlier or current incompetent persons. The prices in our country are the highest on the European continent. Today, a number of ambassadors are shocked by what is going on. Why do you think this person hadn’t been invited to all the receptions of a number of development partners during a long period of time?” wondered the chairman of Our Party.

On July 17, Andrei Spînu was named again Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development by a decree signed by President Maia Sandu. Andrei Spînu served as Deputy Prime Minister in the Gavrilița Cabinet. When this Cabinet resigned, he was named secretary general of the President’s Office.
