The leader of the Our Party Political Party Renato Usatyi filed an applications to the CEC by which he demands to annul the registration of independent candidate Igor Dodon as a contender for the post of President of the Republic of Moldova. He said he has evidence that Igor Dodon in the election campaign spent more money than he declared. “There are clear proofs that the legislation was violated,” said the leader of the PPPN, being quoted by IPN.

Renato Usatyi noted that during the election campaign he identified a number of violations committed by the staff of the mentioned candidate and hopes the CEC will act correctly and responsibly.

“Dodon is not only the symbol of corruption, but is also the symbol of lie in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Renato Usatyi. He noted that a number of youth organizations controlled by Igor Dodon on November 8 filed an application to the Chisinau City Hall to have their planned protests near the Presidential Palace authorized between November 8 and 30. “This means Dodon is getting ready for protests,” stated the politician.

“Today, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, those who are in the country and those from the diaspora, will be witnesses to a process that will show if democracy and the rule of law really exist in the Republic of Moldova, or these have been only mimicked during all these years.”

The staff of independent candidate Igor Dodon said the information disseminated by the politician is false and calumnious and is distributed with the aim of reducing Igor Dodon’s chances of winning a new term in office. Their jurists are preparing a lawsuit over this case.
