The leader of the Political Party “Our Party” Renato Usatyi said that he recently visited London where he met with several detectives who will investigate the bank fraud. He was assured by the British detectives that the money would be recovered, IPN reports.

“After publishing the Second Kroll Report, I announced that I will cooperate with several detectives in the UK. For me, this is a very expensive investigation, of almost €1 million,” Renato Usatyi stated in the program “Secrets of the Power” on Jurnal TV channel. According to him, he discussed an official contract with two detective agencies that will cooperate with representatives of the states where large sums of the stolen funds were allegedly transferred.

The politician avoided saying if he intends to run for President in this year’s elections. He noted he would consult the people to see what support he enjoys and would then take a decision.

However, he expressed his confidence that he now has so many supporters in the Republic of Moldova that incumbent President Igor Dodon does not have chances of winning a new term in office. “How can one take part as a candidate without the massive support of the population? I will now travel through the country. (...)  Even if they do not realize, my current supporters, in percentage, are already enough in number to make sure that Igor Dodon is not elected again,” stated Renato Usatyi.
