Renato Usatîi today launched his presidential campaign. Nominated by his Our Party, the former Balti mayor declared that Moldova “needs a leader who takes responsibility for every decision”.
“I will be a president who unites society. Moldova must not lean either to the right or to the left, because it risks collapsing. That’s why the only direction I will promote is that of national growth, in the interest of Moldova as a state and its citizens”, declared Usaîi at the launch event.
He added that today he engages in a “fight for the future of Moldova”.
“We have reached a crossroads. For over three decades now, the same people, using the same methods, have kept us stuck in a system that stunts the development of Moldova, denying our citizens prosperity”, said the candidate.
“Moldova deserves justice, order and security. The people of our country deserve a better life, they must be respected and listened to. That is why we are here today to start a big change that is expected by every citizen. Today we are obliged to destroy the system that has kept Moldova on its knees for the last 33 years. Moldova must be a country where there is law, a country where thieves and traitors are held accountable, where every citizen has a dignified life. For this, a strong leader is needed to lead the country”, declared Usatîi.
The politician and his team said they want to support farmers and the business, create a system of state administration where “every citizen is heard”, institute a presidential emergency fund, and industrialize Moldova, among other manifesto actions.
Cleared by the election authority to enter the presidential race on September 18, Usatîi will stand at #3 on the ballot paper.
