The “Renaissance” Political Party was registered as a participant in the constitutional republican referendum of October 20. A decision in this regard was approved today by the Central Electoral Commission, IPN reports.
According to the application for registration, the party will promote the “NO” voting option in the referendum.
The Central Election Commission is still examining two applications for registration as a participant in the referendum. One is from the “Chance” Political Party, which declared that it will promote the “NO” voting option, and the other is from the European Social Democratic Party, which aims to promote the “YES” option.
Together with the “Renaissance” Party, the CEC has registered five participants in the referendum: the Party of Communists with the “NO” option, the Green Ecologist Party, the Respect Moldova Movement Party and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe – all four with the “YES” option.
Political parties and electoral blocs can apply for registration as participants in the referendum until September 20.
