Reintegration chief summoned before Parliament over Corjova incident

Eugen Carpov, Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Matters, has been summoned to appear before Parliament to report on the incident that happened on March 2 in Corjova village, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The request was uttered by MP Mihai Godea, the head of the Liberal-Democratic faction. His faction colleague, MP Tudor Deliu, urged the fellow parliamentarians and government officials to show solidarity and take an attitude on this issue.
After the Government's meeting on Wednesday, Eugen Carpov told reporters that what happened in Corjova was a provocation by the Transnistrian authorities.
Valeriu Mitsul, the mayor of the disputed village of Corjova, and local councilman Iurie Cotsofan on Wednesday were arrested by the Transnistrian militia reportedly for displaying a Moldovan flag at a public event.
