The Reintegration Policies Bureau turned its attention to a tragic incident that happened in the Transnistrian region on July 16. A man aged 19, who was conscripted in to the pseudo-military Transnistrian bodies, was shot dead during alleged exercises. The Bureau requests the law enforcement agencies to examine this case as a matter of urgency and to take the necessary legal actions, IPN reports.
The Bureau also called on the Ombudsperson’s Office and the international partners to urgently monitor this case and to provide all the available and relevant forms of assistance.
To find out more details about this case, through the dialogue channel of the chief negotiators, the Bureau will make approaches to and will inform the international observers and mediators to the “5+2” format talks.
In a press release, the Reintegration Policies Bureau says this is not the first case of death in unclear conditions and the continuation of such situations generates serious concerns and requires the mobilization of the forces of al the national and foreign players for preventing and countering the risks that lead to such cases.
The Bureau vehemently condemns the illegal actions and activities on Moldova’s territory that create situations of risk to the life and health of citizens and encourage upon their rights.
