Weather forecasters warn the temperatures will continue to rise on July 1. The northern districts are under yellow code advisory, the central part of the country is under orange code advisory, while southern Moldova will be under red code warning, with temperatures of 40°C, IPN reports.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, daytime temperatures in northern Moldova will oscillate between 33-35°C, in the central districts - between 36-38°C, while in ATU Gagauzia and in Leova, Cantemir, Cahul and Taraclia districts - between 39-40°C.
Rain is forecast for this Sunday and next Monday. Daytime temperatures in the period will vary between 27-32°C, while nighttime temperatures between 16-21°C.
