The chief architect of Chisinau municipality Svetlana Dogotaru, who was subject to searches by officers of the National Anticorruption Center in a case of abuse of office, said that two years ago she warned the responsible services about this case, which is based on the fraudulent registration of the right of superficies over the lot by the company concerned, IPN reports.

“Also then, I requested to check other cases at other companies on the same subject - the registration of the right of superficies. Proceedings for the deletion of incorrectly registered rights were initiated in all the registered cases,” stated Svetlana Dogotaru.

According to her, all the documents were presented. “In all my actions, I was and am correct,” said the chief architect of Chisinau.

The National Anticorruption Center is investigating a scheme through which the municipality was to be dispossessed of a lot worth 22 million lei. The chief architect of the municipality was classed as a suspect and will be investigated for abuse of office in noncustodial arrest.
