Romania’s Lucian Dobre, one of the best defenders that ever played for Zimbru, is set to return to the Moldovan premiership, this time at Rapid Ghidighici, Info-Prim Neo reports. On August 4, the Romanian player held his second training with Rapid. Whether he stays or not depends on the negotiations with the club’s owner Victor Ostap. The 31-year-old defender played three seasons with Zimbru, helping them win the Moldova Cup in 2007. Dobre was player-coach at CSM Scolar Resita in the previous season. He could make his debut for Rapid on Saturday, August 7, against FC Tiraspol. Another Romanian player, whose name hasn’t been disclosed, is also on trial at Rapid.
