Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot. ATP No. 124, has qualified for the second round of the Grand Slam tournament Australian Open. He beat Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, World No. 119, 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, IPN reports.
The match lasted for two hours and 36 minutes. Radu Albot is to now play against Australia’s Aleksandar Vukic, ATP No. 144. The 32-year-old tennis player has successfully passed three qualifying rounds.
The Moldovan athlete had his best performance at the Australian Open last year, when he reached the third round after eliminating World. No.13 Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain.
