Liberal-Democrat leader Vlad Filat won't tell just yet who he was referring to when he was speaking about “The Puppeteer”, allegedly a very influential man who's pulling strings and is controlling much of the Moldovan political life, despite Filat's earlier promise to reveal his name after the local elections. “I'm not a man who quits, but my rule is to follow priorities. And now the priority is to finalize this complicated post-electoral process, and what concerns the political life issues, these will be settled in due time”, stated Vlad Filat at a press conference on Monday. Filat added that he didn't want to be an accomplice to attempts of “causing derailment in Moldova's political activity”. In another development, Vlad Filat remarked that PLDM was the most successful party in terms of mayoral seats won in the recent local elections, asking the Lib-Dem mayors to “get down to work as soon as mandates are granted”. Filat added that PLDM would start post-electoral negotiations on Tuesday, stressing that he wouldn't accept any coalition with the Communists or any other alliance that could lead to the dissolution of the ruling Eurointegration Alliance. In the recent local elections, the Lib-Dems won 31.7% of mayor's seats and 26.7% of the local councilor's posts nationally.
