The works to set up a public parking lot with over 100 places are underway in central Chisinau, at 27 Ismail St, IPN reports.

Mayor General of Chisinau Ion Ceban on his Facebook page wrote that the works are performed on a municipal lot on which an illegal parking lot was located earlier. The lot is being prepared for asphalting and marking works.

A parking lot situated opposite, at 3 Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt Blvd, will also start to be built soon. “I remind that the automated four-story car park downtown is under construction. Two parking lots are being constructed near the Park “La Izvor”. One of these, at the central entrance to the park, is already functional. The second lot is being built and will have a capacity of about 400 places. It is situated on Ghidighici St, near the stadiums built in the park. Other parking lots are being set up near the parks “Dendrariu”, “Alunelul” and “Sarmizegetusa”,” said the mayor.
