Prosecutors will request a 30-day preventive arrest for the individuals detained in connection with the kidnapping of a man from the left bank of the Dniester in Chisinau.

The criminal investigation authorities were notified on the morning of February 6. A criminal case was initiated for the offense of kidnapping.

"On the same day, the vehicle involved was intercepted at the Rezina Internal Customs Post, and the three suspects were detained," Violina Moraru, the spokesperson for the General Prosecutor's Office, told IPN.

The kidnapped man, reportedly abducted by Transnistrian militia, is suspected of having committed a robbery in the Transnistrian region. The Promo-LEX Association condemned the incident, emphasizing that such actions constitute serious violations of fundamental human rights. The association also noted that this situation was made possible due to the lack of a firm response and prompt investigation of similar past incidents.
