The Superior Council of Prosecutors approved the appointment of Elena Nesterova and Igor Demchuchin as deputies of acting prosecutor general Ion Munteanu, IPN reports.
The two candidates were presented to the Council by Ion Munteanu on Monday, January 16. As a result of deliberations, the Council gave its consent to naming the two as deputies of the acting prosecutor general.
Elena Nesterova and Igor Demchuchin will serve as deputies during the tenure of the acting prosecutor general.
In the same meeting, the Superior Council of Prosecutors didn’t consent to the appointment of Sergiu Russu as acting head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS), approving yet the naming of prosecutor Victor Furtună to this post.
