The Public Amenities Division this year plans to implement a number of projects to maintain and repair the housing sector in Chisinau, to clean up the territory and to maintain transit transport stations. These priorities were set down in the Division’s action plan for 2020, IPN reports.

Mayor General of Chisinau municipality Ion Ceban said the action plan also stipulates the extensive repair of buildings, renovation and modernization of elevators, maintaining of green areas, building of playgrounds and sports grounds, construction of a sewage treatment plant at the waste dump in Țânțăreni.

The General Public Transport Division also presented its action plan for 2020. Capital repair works will be initiated on a number of streets, such as Creangă, 31 August and Tighina, in the course of this year. There will be repaired the bridge on Mihai Viteazul St and modernized a number of intersections in Chisinau.

Tender contests to have trolleybuses and buses assembled will be held and the project to introduce the e-ticketing system in public transport will be implemented.

“We asked for maximum responsibility on the part of the administration of divisions on each segment so that all the tender contests are held on time and action is taken immediately when complaints come from people. Each councilor was familiarized with this information. We want to work in concert so as to avoid obstacles in the implementation of projects,” Ion Ceban posted on Facebook.

All the municipal divisions are to present plan implementation reports for this year.
