Program of visit by Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici to Brussels

The justice sector reform, fight against corruption and sustainable economic growth are among the key subjects that Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici will discuss with high-ranking European officials in Brussels. The Premier will be in the capital of Belgium on February 26 and 27, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, IPN reports.

“The visit I will pay to Brussels has a special significance as the European integration will be the basis of the activity of the Government I head. An essential role will be played by the completion of the justice sector reform, the optimization of corruption combating activities and the ensuring of economic growth,” said Chiril Gaburici. According to him, it won’t be possible to ensure the irreversibility of Moldova’s European course without reforms and close cooperation with the EU so as to implement the European standards in the best way possible.

While in Brussels, the Premier will have separate meetings with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, the Chairman of the Delegation to the EU – Moldova Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Andi Cristea, the President of the European People’s Party Joseph Daul and other officials.
