Products worth MDL 10 mln have been sold at “Made in Moldova” Exhibition
Within the Exhibition “Made in Moldova”, held in the period between February 7 and 12 at the Central Exhibition Centre “Moldexo” Moldovan producers sold products totalling about MDL 10 mln, signed circa 70 cooperation contracts and protocols of intention with companies from abroad. The exhibition has been visited by more than 44,000 persons.
Foreign delegation represented Chambers of Commerce from Romania (Bucharest, Vaslui, Bacau, Botosani, Iasi), Belarus, Ukraine, Italy, Estonia. Each delegation participated in the exhibition with its own stall, where it has presented informational and promotion materials, commercial offers and national products. One of the largest delegations which visited the exhibition this year has been composed of about 50 businessmen from the Suceava County.
Representatives of the Italian Delegation agreed with the Moldovan authorities to organise professional trainings for Moldovan businessmen and identify new projects, subsidised by the EU.
This year, for the first time, the Government partially financed the national exhibition by allotting MDL 226,000 from the Reserve Fund.
321 enterprises from different branches of the national economy participated in the exhibition. Food industry has been represented by 78 companies, vine and wine branch – 38, furniture industry – 8, light industry – 30, mechanics and equipment – 94, scientific institutions – 19, higher education institutions – 6, craftsmen – 12 etc.
Within the frameworks of the exhibition, the National Agency of labours Force Employment organised a Job Fair, which presented 100 vacant work places from 34 economic entities. Circa 3000 solicitors participated in the Fair. 300 of them have been selected in order to be hired. Chisinau Agency of Labours Force Employment provided consultations concerning the employment to almost 500 persons and offered more than 4,000 jobs.
