Moldovagaz acting president Vadim Ceban says that 448.150 million cubic meters of natural gas have been procured so far for the 2024-2025 heating season, which covers 65.6% of the required volume. Another 234.573 million cubic meters still need to be purchased, IPN reports.

Vadim Ceban says that in order to meet consumer demand in the 2024-2025 heating season, Moldovagaz JSC has planned to purchase 682.722 million cubic meters of natural gas, including: 316.575 million cubic meters for October-December and 366.147 million cubic meters for January-March.

In August-September, Moldovagaz purchased 316.575 million cubic meters of natural gas for October-December, covering the total estimated consumption.

For the first quarter of 2025, from September to November, 131.575 million cubic meters of natural gas were purchased from September to November, which is 35.9% of the required volume, Vadim Ceban said.

He also says that Moldovagaz has initiated on the BRME trading platform for next week the process of purchasing natural gas needed for the first quarter of 2025.
