“Pro-Ortodoxia” Association demands that Law on Equality of Chances should be repealed

Deacon Ghenadie Valuta called upon Vlad Filat and the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) to draft a bill to repeal the Law on Equality of Chances. In a news conference at IPN, the head of the Association “Pro-Ortodoxia” said Vlad Filat could be exempted from the moral judgment of the people if this law is abrogated.

“Until Vlad Filat still controls the largest force of the right, the PLDM, he should submit to Parliament a bill by which to annul the homosexual propaganda disseminated through the Law on Equality of Chances,” stated Ghenadie Valuta.

He noted that the situation experienced now by Vlad Filat is a consequence of the decision to pass the given law. “We see that Vlad Filat was removed from the Moldovan government due to the sins resulting from the adoption of this law. After he promoted the antidiscrimination law, he divorced and was then dismissed in a shameful way and is now ultimately in jail,” said the deacon.

“We demand that Law No. 121 of May 25, 2012 should be annulled. We call on Vlad Filat to finally repent, but not formally, but by concrete deeds. As he put forward the initiative to adopt the given law, he should now correct his mistake and propose a bill to abrogate this law, which would be signed by all the MPs of the PLDM. This thing must be done immediately,” said jurist Radu Busila. According to him, only afterward will Filat have the moral right to apologize to the people.

The Law on Equality of Chances was adopted on May 25, 2012.
