Private kindergartens will only open after inspections are carried out by the Public Health Agency (ANSA) and the Food Safety Agency (ANSP), ANSA head Nicolae Furtună stated at a press conference today.
Furtună said 16 private daycare establishments will be monitored in the next period before a conclusion can be made about whether to reopen the rest.
Health minister Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the Ministry worked together with public health experts to develop guidelines for schools and kindergartens to follow when they reopen.
The rules have been established, but the final decisions on the reopening of educational institutions are to be taken by their founders, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, added Dumbrăveanu.
