Printing of ballots for presidential elections underway

The ballots that will be distributed to polling stations that will be established on Moldova’s territory for the November 1 presidential elections started to be printed on October 21, IPN reports.

The Central Election Commission said the printing of the 2 934 017 ballots will cost 422,498.45 lei, with the price of a ballot paper being of 0.144 lei.

Of all the printed ballots, 2 168 620 will be in the Romanian language, while 765,397 in the Russian language.

These are printed on a gray matte piece of paper that is 236 mm in length and 140 mm in width.

The 556,000 ballots intended for the 139 polling stations that will be established abroad were printed earlier.
