Printing of ballot papers for the second round of local elections begins

The printing of over 1.696 million ballot papers for the second round of the general local elections, which will take place this Sunday, November 3, has begun. Over 1.289 million ballot papers are in Romanian and the other over 407 thousand - in Russian, IPN reports.

According to the Central Election Commission, over 635 thousand ballot papers will be printed for the election of the general mayor of Chisinau: 411 thousand in Romanian and about 224 thousand in Russian. These will be printed on matte purple paper.

For the election of mayors in the other 383 settlements where the second round of elections will be held, over 1,060 million ballots will be printed. They will be printed on matte pink paper.

The price of a ballot paper is of 0.11 lei. The value of the total number of ballot papers for the second round of the general local elections constitutes over 188 thousand lei.
