After following the plea of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leancă in favor of introducing the European integration objective in the Constitution, in the talk show “Issue of the day”, the IPN Experts reached the conclusion that amid the suspect concession of the Chisinau International Airport; robbing of the banking system; selective justice for punishing the scapegoats and protecting those who are close to the pro-European government; ostentatious ignoring of the European Union’s recommendations over sensitive issues; invalidation of elections based on invented reasons; capital amnesty; illegal extraditions of citizens; very dubious privatization procedures, etc., etc., the support for the PDM’s initiatives and the invoking of the earlier merits regrettably look more like a massage to a wooden leg, which is useless.

The Socialists also do not support the European integration idea, but for other reasons.
After President Igor Dodon said the enshrining of the European integration course in the Constitution is to the detriment of the balance in society and he will no way promulgate such a law, the parliamentary group of the Party of Socialists said the introduction of an ideological amendment in the Constitution is contrary to the fundamental principles, such as the right to choose, and this will further worsen the situation in the country where society is already divided.

By the way, the suspect concession of the airline was the subject of parliamentary hearings where it was reiterated that Air Moldova reached a critical situation in 2012, when it sustained losses of 72 million lei. When low-cost companies entered the Moldovan market, its losses continued to rise. In this connection, Liberal-Democratic MP Grigore Cobzac said neither he, nor his colleagues from the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group opposed the privatization of Air Moldova, but the way in which this was denationalized, in non-transparent conditions, and the subsequent functioning of this company generate questions.

An initiative group led by Andrei Groza, first pro-rector of the Public Administration Academy, looks at life in a much more romantic way. In a news conference at IPN, Groza announced that they will popularize the idea of forming a common list of pro-union and pro-Europe candidates for the parliamentary elections of next February among the unionist parties and the citizens.

According to the leader, the elections of February 2019 will determine not only our fate, but also the fate of our descendants... Yes, as it was at all the previous elections, without any exception.

The quarterly monitoring report “Elements of Propaganda, Information Manipulation and Violation of the Rules of Journalistic Deontology in the Domestic Mass Media”, presented by the Independent Journalism Center, says blurring is a new manipulative technique used by some of the TV channels in Moldova to create confusion and to distract attention from really important issues. Some of the media outlets started to combine manipulative techniques so as to consolidate the image of the political parties they favor. In such conditions, the mass media are less trusted and the people become more critical of the consumed media products.
