The Cabinet approved the regulations concerning the method of providing tax and customs concessions on the import of cult images and the list of beneficiaries of such concessions, IPN reports.

Under the regulations, only the religious organizations and third persons included in the list of beneficiaries approved by the Cabinet could enjoy tax and customs concessions on the import of such religious objects.

To be included in the list, those interested will submit an application to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research to confirm that the goods that are to be imported are cult images. When the confirmation is issued, based on the information presented to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the Ministry of Finance within ten days will draft a Government Decision on the amendment of the list and will present it to the Cabinet for examination and approval.
