The municipality of Chisinau didn’t manage to repair the underground passage situated near Municipal Clinical Hospital No.1 in Botanica district by the end of 2018, as it planned. At the start of last year, the Chisinau City Hall announced the launch of works to repair eight underground passages. None of the projects was yet implemented.
The municipal authorities estimate the works to implement the electronic ticketing system in trolleybuses in Chisinau will start this year. In 2010, the Chisinau City Hall announced that in 2012 at the latest, the inhabitants of Chisinau will not have to buy tickets from the conductor as they will pay for trips with the help of an electronic card.
Acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu asked to review the statutes of parents’ associations so that the kindergarten admission fees are mentioned nowhere in these. When a sales slip is issued when paying the admission fee, it looks as if this is something legal, but this is not.

The Liberal Party kicked off its election campaign prior to the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019 in an event staged in Frăsinești village of Ungheni district that is situated on the bank of the Prut River on February 3. The event started with patriotic songs performed by the band “Ștefan-Vodă” and with the singing of Romania’s national anthem “Wake up, Romanians”. At the end, the participants in the event danced a Romanian round dance on the bank of the Prut. The representatives of the party said they struggle for the union, which is the Romanian national ideal.
“Elections in plain words” from IPN: persons with the right to vote. The Election Code of the Republic of Moldova says all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who turned 18, including on the election day, have the right to vote. The persons who were deprived of this right by definitive court decision cannot vote.
The Moldovan citizens take part in elections through universal, equal, direct, secret and freely expressed vote. No one can exert pressure on the voters to make them take part or not in elections and to persuade them how to vote. The elector votes in person. Voting instead of another person is banned. The citizens of the Republic of Moldova can elect and be elected regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, sex, opinion, political affiliation, assets or social origin.
The conduct of election management bodies during the electoral period in Moldova can be characterized as professional and transparent, yet the work of CoECs (district electoral councils) was considered to be too strict by a number of candidates, resulting with a relatively high number of invalidated signatures, even for minor technical mistakes.
This was concluded in an interim report presented at the press conference of ENEMO International Election Observation Mission (IEOM) in Moldova.
Ilan Shor told a news conference that the President of Moldova Igor Dodon threatened him he will face very serious problems in Russia and that, at his request, his political patrons and the FSB will start invented criminal cases against him. He noted it is strange that Igor Dodon resorted to such threats given their previous relations. Not only once, Igor Dodon flied by his planes, including to Moscow, and used his vehicles and homes. He also offered Igor Dodon considerable financial support, including in two election campaigns, as businessmen Veaceslav Platon did. Ilan Shor brought a big bag to the news conference, saying this was full of what Dodon received, suggesting it was money inside.
In reaction, the presidential press service said the statements of particular aspirants for MP should be treated exclusively in an electoral context.
The works that were to be performed on the section of Tighina St between Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd and 31 August St during February 4 - March 31 were postponed owing to the unfavorable weather conditions. The section remains open to traffic and the public transport runs as usual.
