We cannot accept obscure criminal gas supply schemes aimed at destabilizing the situation in Moldova, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said in a video addressed especially to the residents of the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
The official assures that the authorities are looking for solutions to provide "all the support to the inhabitants from the left bank – to the people, not to the so-called 'bosses'.”
According to Premier Recean, solutions exist. Gazprom can resume direct supplies according to the existing contract; gas can be purchased for the Transnistrian region, or other legal options can be identified. Any solution must be transparent and clear.
The head of the Government accuses the Kremlin of wanting "not to resume gas supplies, but to create a conflict in Moldova so that the people on the right bank are angry with those on the left bank and vice versa. Russia plans to use human tragedies as a tool to sow strife. The Kremlin's policy is extremely cynical – creating chaos throughout the country." The prime minister is convinced that these plans will not succeed, and the Kremlin will be wrong again in its calculations.
