There are reputable constructors in Moldova. However, insufficient investments do not allow developing this field quickly, municipal councilor Pavel Caba, and a constructor with a 27 year experience declared on the occasion of the Professional Constructors’ Day. According to the quoted source, a great part of the constructions built in the last year are apartment blocks. Prices for living space are high, but they reflect the real situation on the market, being the result of the high price of imported construction material and demand- offer rate. At present the clients’ solicitations are fulfilled at the level of 90%. Referring to a possible increase in price, the councilor said that this fact is unavoidable. Due to the lack of fields, old constructions will be demolished and another apartment blocks will be erected instead. Pavel Caba regrets the fact that there are a lot of construction sites in Chisinau and none in other localities of the country. Also it is regrettable that little investment is made in the edifices that could ensure in the future workplaces to the population, so that people would not be forced to leave the country. The Constructors’ Day in the Republic of Moldova is celebrated in the second Sunday of August.
