Fuel prices have risen continuously. The National Agency for Energy Regulation announced a 0.23-leu increase in the price of gasoline and a 0.15-leu increase in the price of diesel fuel for January 7-9, IPN reports.
The price ceiling for a liter of gasoline will be 23.51 lei, and for diesel fuel - 20.42 lei.
Since January 1, the price for a liter of gasoline has increased by 0.51 lei, and for diesel fuel - by about 0.40 lei.
For the first half of 2025, the National Agency for Energy Regulation set the specific commercial margin for the retail sale of standard main petroleum products at of 3.24 lei/liter. This is an increase of 0.06 lei/liter compared to the previous margin, which anticipates an increase in fuel prices.
Likewise, starting with January 1, fuel prices will gradually include the new excise duty rates stipulated in the Fiscal Code, which provides for an increase of 578.16 lei per tonne of gasoline and of 243.28 lei per tonne for diesel fuel.
