President Vladimir Voronin signed the decree on the appointment of Ion Ciornii to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Lithuania. Ion Ciornii was born in 1961 in Stefan Voda. He graduated from the Agrarian University of Moldova and the Academy of Public Administration. Ciornii also attended foreign affairs and security courses in Europe. Since 1998 until present times he has held various offices in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moldova’s Embassy in Belarus and in the Russian Federation.
