President sets commission to draft National Security Strategy
President Vladimir Voronin set up a Commission to draft the National Security Strategy of Moldova, on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the press unit of the Presidency.
It is to draft the Strategy till October 1, 2008, and will hire experts.
The commission will be headed by Prime-Minister Zinaida Greceanai. The vice chairman was designated Foreign Minister Andrei Stratan, while the secretary is the chief of the Special Issues Direction of the Government's Apparatus, Oleg Garbu.
Other members of the commission are Finance Minister Mariana Durlesteanu, Justice Minister Vitalie Parlog, Interior Minister Valentin Mejinschi, Defense Minister Vitalie Vrabie, Info-Development Minister Pavel Buceatchi, economy vice minister Sergiu Sainciuc, MP Stefan Grigoriev, Intelligence Service Chief Artur Resetnicov, Border Guards Chief Igor Colenov, General Prosecutor Valeriu Gurbulea, secretary of the Security Supreme Council Ion Morei, president of the Science Academy Gheorghe Duca and an NGO leader -- Viorel Cibotaru.
