President Igor Dodon on June 5 left for St. Petersburg. He is paying a visit at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and is to take part in the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum where he will deliver a speech, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, Igor Dodon will have meetings with managers of the secretariat of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and of the United Nations Economic Council. He will also meet with the heads of “Gazprom” and “Sberbank”. St. Petersburg will also host a meeting of the Moldovan-Russian Economic Council that will involve officials of the Russian Government.

Contacted by IPN for details, Carmena Sterpu, senior consultant at the presidential press service, said the length of the visit to Russia is not yet known.
