The Communist Party head Vladimir Voronin, after Thursday’s sitting of the legislative body, said that the only solution to the political crisis is for the PCRM and PLDM to reach an agreement. Vladimir Voronin stressed he speaks about an agreement, not a coalition, Info-Prim Neo reports. “If we do not want to have early elections, the only solution is to find a technical solution so as to vote in the head of state. The solution may result from an agreement between the PCRM and PLDM,” Vladimir Voronin said. The leaders of the PLDM and PCRM have had several meetings. According to them, the discussions centered on a wide range of subjects, including the election of the head of state. Earlier this week, Vlad Filat told the journalists that the PLDM’s position remained unchanged and the decision about the election of the head of state will be taken by the Alliance for European Integration. The PCRM repeatedly said it will not support the Alliance’s candidate Marian Lupu as it considers that the head of state should be apolitical.
