Chisinau does not oppose, and has never opposed, the delivery of gas to the left bank of the Dniester, within the existing legal framework. On the contrary, the authorities in Chisinau have provided, and continue to provide, all possibilities to ensure that this is done as quickly as possible. This clarification was made by the spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Zaharov, in response to statements made by Vadim Krasnoselski, IPN reports.
"Mr. Krasnoselski's statements are a serious distortion of reality. It is well known that the only company authorized to deliver natural gas in the Transnistrian region is Moldovagaz, where Gazprom holds the majority stake. The origin of the crisis does not lie in Chisinau, but in Moscow, which needs to come up with real solutions for this problem," wrote Igor Zaharov on Telegram.
The leader of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselski, has accused the Chisinau authorities of obstructing gas deliveries to the Transnistrian region and has urged President Maia Sandu to do everything possible "to allow the gas to enter Transnistria".
